Every sky in Goworthy is hand-drawn, procedural animation. The sun's bloom and light shafts, drifting clouds and high cirrus, drizzle, showers, snow, fog, lightning and blowing leaves, star fields and the phase of the moon, all tracking the real weather and the light as it moves from sunrise through golden hour, blue hour and night. No stock imagery, no video, no canned effects. And Sandy, our little crab, reacts to all of it.

Goworthy is a go/no-go outdoor weather app for iPhone. It reads the weather, sea, mountains and sky from professional forecast models and turns them into one clear verdict, Go, Caution or No-go, for however you spend time outdoors: beach, SUP, surf, kite, hike, snow, stargazing, cycling and more.
Is Goworthy free? ▶
Yes. Goworthy is free, with an optional tip jar if you would like to support it. There is no account, no ads and no tracking.
Which forecast models does Goworthy use? ▶
Nine, through Open-Meteo: ECMWF, GFS, ICON, ICON-EU, HARMONIE, UKMO, GEM and ECMWF AIFS. Or leave it on automatic and Goworthy picks the best model for your spot.
Which activities does Goworthy cover? ▶
Seventeen, each judged on its own limits: Beach, Terrace, SUP, Surf, Kite, Sailing, Fishing, Drone, Golden hour, Forest, Walking, Hike, Snow, Stargazing, Cycling, Running and Golf.

No. Goworthy has no sign-up and no analytics. Your saved spots and settings stay on your device; the only thing sent out is the coordinates of the spot you are viewing, to fetch its forecast from Open-Meteo.

Goworthy's forecasts and Go / Caution / No-go verdicts are general information only. They are generated from third-party forecast models that can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment, official maritime, mountain, avalanche, weather or aviation warnings, local knowledge, and proper training and equipment. Conditions outdoors can change quickly. You alone are responsible for deciding whether to go out, and for your safety and that of others. Goworthy is not a navigational, mountain, avalanche or safety-of-life service. Always check official sources before heading out on the water, into the mountains or the backcountry, or flying a drone.

By using Goworthy you agree to these Terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Goworthy on your Apple devices for your own use.
Provided "as is"
Goworthy is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that forecasts or verdicts will be accurate, complete, timely or available.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, injury, damage or cost arising from your use of Goworthy or your reliance on its forecasts or verdicts.
Weather data
Forecasts are provided by Open-Meteo and other model sources that we do not control and cannot guarantee. Weather data is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Changes and governing law
We may update Goworthy and these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Who we are
Goworthy ("we", "us") is an independent app operated by Pierre van Mever. Questions? [email protected].
No account, no tracking
Goworthy has no sign-up or user account. We don't run ads, analytics or third-party trackers, and we don't build a profile of you.
Location and your spots
Goworthy uses your location, or a place you search, only to fetch the forecast for that spot. Your saved spots and settings are stored on your device only. Goworthy has no account and no cloud sync, so they stay on your device and we never receive a copy.
Forecast data
To show conditions, Goworthy requests forecast data from Open-Meteo, an independent weather service. That request includes the coordinates of the spot you are viewing and, as with any internet request, your device's IP address. We do not send Open-Meteo your name or identity. Their handling of requests is governed by their own terms.
If you contact us
When you email us we receive your message and email address, used only to reply.
Your rights
Your information lives on your device, so you stay in control. Under the GDPR you also have rights of access, correction and erasure over any data we hold (in practice, emails you send us). Just contact us.
Children
Goworthy is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be noted here or in the app.
